You often come to Kyiv. Do you have a favorite place already?

I haven’t explored the city very well yet, because basically I travel in all kinds of locations related to music, or in apartments of friends and hotels. But recently I was led to an unfinished gloomy bridge. We went there at night, and it appeared as if a gothic ghost in the fog. To me this gloom wildly wheeled. I love semi-abandoned spots, brutalism. Well, in BURSA, is f***ing cool, of course. This is my favorite place now.

What mood do you most often create in?

It depends on what state I am in. If I stay for half a year in a bad state, then, respectively, the album turns out with a touch of longing, detachment. A lot of songs from previous records are with this vibe. The future album was written from the opposite, from the extravaganza of life, when I was blown up, burst out in a good way. Therefore, it will be in a different mood, it is very brash, life-affirming, danceable, powerful, smashing into your face from the first song.

If not music, what would you do?

Filmmaking. I graduated from directing, this is my second big love. I would not necessarily like to be the first person on the set, it would be enough for me just to take part in the implementation of other people's ideas for a couple of years. For the ego, which constantly demands everything for itself, it is sometimes useful to help others with their projects, it’s kind of the cure.

How did you understand that you have outgrown punk?

First, I’m a punk so far. This is a mindset and a lifestyle. I am a punk in torn pantyhose. First of all, it is expressed in relation to the money points, probably. You can scourge calmly. From 16 years old my attitude to this has not changed. I am pleased to spend time in BURSA, as well as in some shabby bar. And if talking about music, then 10 years ago there was very strong hardcore community, and I was drawn to it rather because of ideological issues. And in terms of music, punk is a tight format, and you cannot limit yourself to one genre. But, unfortunately, many of punk musicians suffer from such a disease, believing that punk is real music only, and all the rest is pop. I felt stuffy there, so I came to that which contains the universe. That is, to electronic music.

What in everyday life inspires you the most?

Shopping! Kiddin’, shopping is killing me. I like to wake up in the morning, all day ahead, I do my favorite Soviet exercises, turn on the music and make breakfast. This is a pure morning moment when you are not yet full with information from the Internet. I don't even get into the network on purpose until I do my morning ritual. I also like walking around abandoned places, with friends or without.

What do you believe in?

I would like to say that in love, but idk. I believe in faith. As Yegor Letov said, without faith even a nail cannot be nailed. If a person has faith, be it a belief in business, in God, in yourself, in space, if you just have some kind of faith, then it gives you the strength to live. Therefore, it must be constantly created by yourself.

Who do you see yourself in 5 years?

I would not always like to broadcast myself from the stage. Constantly showing yourself and uncovering is exhausting. If cinema had developed a lot in our country, then I would be a composer. Or maybe producing some young guys, I think I feel youth, ha-ha. I would like to unite people around some musical idea.

What does it mean to be real yourself?

You are yourself when you are at rest. In an exalted state, when all is burning, whether for joy, or sorrow, it distorts you, I think. And when you are at rest, you can broadcast something. This is the question we are looking for the answer for all our lives. Maybe it’s when we die and get into a state of ambient. We are cleared there of all human things and just float in the ether.

Compromises or struggle to the last?

Compromises, but only with close ones.

When did you last cry?

Well, somehow I haven't been able to cry lately.

Favorite time of the year?

Spring.
