Yura, what’s your dream travel destination?

I have been fascinated by Asia for a long time. Probably trite, but I want to feel the energy of Tokyo, since this city has influenced world culture. I would like to experience the script of the film “Lost in Translation”. This trip is included in my bucket list, but there has been no such chance so far.

What is your favorite anime?

I'm a big fan of Miyazaki, probably the poppiest choice, but I have children, so “My Neighbor Totoro” is always on replay. My daughter is very selective with full-length movies, and this is the first one that she can watch from beginning to end. I watched it many times and it’s still not annoying. Recently I came across an eerie interpretation of this story in the Internet, and I liked the cartoon even more.

Cats or dogs?

I treat cats well, but dogs cause more emotions. I like Shiba Inu, Japanese breed, again. Few people know that I really like Japanese culture, I do not often talk about it.

A musician who you like to listen to, but for some reason is ashamed of it.

There is no such. I like Lube's “Horse” song, but I'm not ashamed. Due to the fact that recently stories with musicians like Michael Jackson and R. Kelly began to reveal, the question of whether to feel a sense of guilt while listening to music is a little more subtle and interesting. I have very mixed feelings while listening to Michael Jackson, and also fatherly feelings, since my daughter loves him very much, I put her in touch. But in general, it is impossible to separate an artist from his work, and the feeling of guilt will be somewhere inside. And I am not ashamed for listening to the group Lube. There is such a choir that you feel like you go out into the field with a horse. Brilliant.

What's in your on-the-go playlist?

When I'm traveling, by airplane, for example, it’s Brian Eno's “Airport music”. This is my travel mode, I can listen to it on replay. I am processing a small amount of new music, something gets into itself, something is advised by a friend or by Instagram advertising. This devil that overhears us gives us something useful sometimes. And I try to feel music by albums.

What pushes you stronger criticism or praise?

Criticism penetrates deeply anyway, even if you already have a thick skin and have developed tolerance. It responds more strongly. At first it was difficult for us to show music to other musicians, and now we are not afraid to collect whole focus groups. And praise is just a beacon that you are doing right. Criticism is more important than praise, you just need to work with it.

Three things without which it is impossible to imagine a good day.

Kisses with a loved one, with my wife or children. But when you work, they are not with me, so it is very important for me to communicate with them by social networks at least. Next, to do one important thing and to learn something new in my professional field. Everyday I try to find something to read or to watch. Also I like to collect funny stories about artists.

What has changed in life after the appearance of children?

You value time more, you understand that there are unimportant things that are easy to give up. A new energy source has opened up for me, like a secret room that was in your character, perception of the world. The fact that you are a father is inspiring, scary, and this is very cool. Without this, my life would be incomplete.
